With the support of the National Association of Broadcasters, the four Military Aid Societies - Air Force Aid Society, Army Emergency Relief, Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, and Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society - have come together to form The Armed Forces Relief Trust - a single, non-profit fund to better collect and disburse donations in support of the troops and their families in need. The mission is to assist the military aid societies by providing a single vehicle to accept donations that will benefit the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families. Examples of such assistance may include payment for a soldier's airfare to fly home for his father's funeral, a special reading program for a sailor's daughter, special medical attention for a pilot's expectant spouse, or college tuition for a soldier's child.

A few words from Commander John W. Alexander, USN (Ret.)
The Armed Forces Relief Trust is honored to be one of the recipient organizations that will benefit from the sale of the new For the Troops CD produced by the S.T.A.N.D. cast and band. Grass roots patriotic initiatives like this one send a clear signal to the members of our Armed Forces that citizens across America recognize and appreciate their sacrifice and do not take for granted, the freedom they strive to protect and defend. I'm pleased to report that 100% of any charitable gift received by the Armed Forces Relief Trust resulting from the sale of this CD will provide financial assistance to members serving in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy and their families. God Bless You for this creative gesture and God Bless America. Very sincerely, Commander John W. Alexander, USN (Ret.) Director of Communications, Armed Forces Relief Trust and Vice President & Chief Communications Officer Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society
